5 questions to... a new trainee Lina Pfotenhauer, Trainee Wholesale and Foreign Trade Management Fr: Foreign Trade

In our format "5 questions to... a new trainee" we present Lina Pfotenhauer today. Since August 2021, she has been completing her training as a wholesale and foreign trade management clerk (FR: foreign trade) at Analytik Jena. She supports the transport management team at our location in Schorba.

How did you become aware of Analytik Jena?
I have seen on the Internet a training period of the Analytik Jena for the training of merchants for wholesale and foreign trade management. I then informed myself about Analytik Jena on the website and applied online. After that, I was invited to an interview.

What was your first impression of the company?
My first impression of the company was that the employees are very friendly and helpful, especially towards the trainees. As a trainee, you are in very good hands here. You are also quickly assigned independent tasks.

How did the first few weeks in the company go?
At the beginning of the training, we had two welcome days, which were planned by trainees. On these two days there were introductory training courses, a tour of the company, introductory talks with the instructors and we were in an escape room. Then I joined my main department, the transport management in Schorba. I am now being trained there. Bit by bit, I am assigned more tasks that I can do independently.

What does a typical weekend look like for you?
In my free time I dance in a spark guard and like to meet up with my friends.

What advice do you have for people who want to apply for an apprenticeship at Analytik Jena?
For my future at Analytik Jena, I hope that I will continue to have new exciting tasks and get to know new areas and be taken on after completing my training.
